Ferro Phosphorous FeP is got from furnace of producing phosphorus. It is the symbiotic compound which contains phosphorous 20%-26% and silica 0.1% -0.6%. Ferro Phosphorous can change the corrosion resistance and chips of steel. In the steel industry, FeP can be used as alloying agent; it also can be used to produce phosphate.
Ferro Phosphorous Metallurgical characteristics
In metallurgical industry, Ferro Phosphorous is mainly used as alloying agent and deoxidizer.
For common steel products, phosphorous is harmful ingredients. But for some special products, the addition of ferro phosphorous can improve some properties of steel.
Ferro phosphorous is widely applied in roll, automotive cylinder liner, engine roller and large castings in order to improve the mechanical parts' corrosion resistance and abrasion resistance. Phosphorous is partially soluble with ferrite in the steel, partially compose brittle compound; drastically reduces the room temperature's ductility and toughness of steel, while transmitting the brittle and the temperature raises.
Ferro Phosphorous Applications
In the metallurgical industry, the ferro phosphorous is mainly used as alloying agent and deoxidizer, also can produce Na2HPO4,Na3PO4 or high P-content fertilizer.
Ferro Phosphorous can be used to manufacture the grenades, artillery's shell. Because of its brittle property, it can gather a lot of shrapnel after bombing, increase the killing effectiveness.
